Founded by Ivan Waldeck, once a feared gang leader and now a beacon of hope, the ministry is dedicated to helping others break free from the destructive cycles of crime, addiction, and despair through the power of faith.
From Gang Leader to Guiding Light
Ivan Waldeck’s journey began in the gang-ridden streets of Ravensmead, Cape Town. Raised in poverty and shaped by violence, he climbed the ranks of the feared 26 gang and spent years behind bars, including time in Pollsmoor Prison. But it was within those very prison walls that Ivan encountered a profound spiritual awakening — and met Nelson Mandela, a moment that sparked the beginning of his transformation.
Choosing light over darkness, Ivan committed his life to healing the broken, restoring dignity, and guiding others out of the same traps he once fell into. His story is not one of glorifying the past, but of using it as a powerful testimony of what’s possible through God’s grace and personal accountability.
